1. MISSION & DISCIPLESHIP

Taking the Gospel to the Community

One of the highlights of the year was a two-week missionary partnership with iServe Africa. During the first week, teams went door-to-door sharing the Gospel, and six people gave their lives to Jesus Christ.

The team also visited eight elderly homes, bringing food supplies, practical assistance, companionship, prayer, and the Word of God.

Ministry is not only about what we say; it is also about how we serve.

2. INVESTING IN THE NEXT GENERATION

Vocational Bible School

The second week of the missionary partnership included a two-day Vocational Bible School, bringing together more than 300 children and teenagers. The programme was facilitated jointly by Solid Rock Foundation and iServe Africa, with teaching centred on the Book of Jonah.

Youth Camp

A three-day youth camp provided an environment for young people to engage deeply with God’s Word.

Our desire is to see a generation that knows Christ, understands His Word, and is equipped to live with purpose.

3. THE GOSPEL IN LOCAL LANGUAGES

Maa-Language Audio Bible Listening Groups

We launched a Maa-language Audio Bible Listening Group in Kajiado South. This initiative is opening new opportunities for communities to listen to and engage with God’s Word in a language they understand and connect with deeply.

We also participated in Audio Bible Listening Group Leaders Training, equipping local leaders to facilitate listening groups and encourage ongoing engagement with Scripture.

4. EMPOWERING COFFEE FARMERS

Growing Farmers. Growing Communities.

Our agricultural empowerment programme continued through training for coffee farmers. Farmers received practical guidance on:

5. EMMANNE FARM

Building Towards Sustainability

Emmanne Farm continues to play an important role in strengthening the sustainability of Solid Rock Foundation.

Dairy Farming

The dairy project is currently producing approximately 30 litres of milk every day. It contributes to farm income while providing an important step towards greater self-sustainability.

Growing Our Own Feed

We have planted substantial amounts of Napier grass, allowing us to feed our dairy cows from the farm rather than depending entirely on outside sources.

Poultry Project

The poultry project remains one of the key income-generating activities at Emmanne Far

The new flock has begun laying eggs, creating potential for increased farm income and greater sustainability.

Avocado Harvest

Our avocado trees also produced a harvest this season. Although the market has been slow, we remain thankful for the opportunity to develop agriculture as part of our long-term sustainability strategy.

6. STRENGTHENING COMMUNITY HEALTH

Community Health Promoters Training

In partnership with the County Government of Murang’a, Solid Rock Foundation hosted training for 30 Community Health Promoters (CHPs) from 13–24 July 2026 at the Emmanne Women Centre.

The 10-day training covered the basic CHP module and is expected to strengthen community health outreach within Kahuro Sub-County.

Why this matters
Healthy communities are stronger communities. By equipping local health promoters, we are helping bring health information and services closer to families.

Free Dental Camp

A free dental camp provided screening and treatment services to community members. The report records 440 patients, of whom 411 were treated.

7. EDUCATION THAT OPENS DOORS

Village Sponsorship Programme

Education remains one of our key investments in the future of children and young people. Through the Village Sponsorship Programme, we continue to support:

8. CARING FOR CHILDREN

Children in Residential Care

We currently provide full scholarships and holistic care for 20 children living at Emmanne Children’s Home in Murang’a and Mwangaza House in Oloitoktok.

Our care goes beyond education. We seek to provide an environment where children can experience:

9. EXCAN PROGRAMME

Equipping Young People for the Future

The EXCAN programme continues to equip young people with practical skills for life and employment.

33 trainees are receiving full sponsorship in Computer Studies, Basic AI, Life Skills, and Discipleship.

In a rapidly changing digital world, we believe young people need both practical skills and strong foundations of character and faith as they prepare for future opportunities.

10. WOMEN’S EMPOWERMENT

Skills. Dignity. Opportunity.

We currently have 15 women receiving sponsored vocational training as seamstresses in partnership with Michuki National Polytechnic.

Ten women have completed their training and undertaken their Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) tests.

Through vocational training, women are gaining skills that can create opportunities for income generation and greater economic independence.

An additional 10 women are being trained in crochet and sisal basket-making.

11. SUPPORTING SCHOOL SUSTAINABILITY

Drip Irrigation at Theri Primary School

The drip irrigation system at Theri Primary School was relocated and is now fully functional. This will support agricultural activities at the school and contribute to food production, practical learning, and sustainability.

12. INNOVATE FOR IMPACT

Technology Creating New Opportunities

Through the Innovate for Impact initiative, we have continued investing in technology and vocational infrastructure.

These investments are helping children, young people, and women access new tools for learning, creativity, vocational training, and future employment.

Our partnership with iServe Africa continues to strengthen many areas of our work. Apprentices have actively supported our programmes while receiving practical experience in:

14. SUPPORTING FAMILIES AFTER REINTEGRATION

GEEP Kenya

Through GEEP Kenya, support has been provided to families caring for children who have been reintegrated into their homes.

15. WHEN A CHILD NEEDS HELP

A Life-Saving Investment

We are deeply grateful to the Gertrude Impact Program, which sponsored an operation for one of the children in our care.

More than Ksh. 500,000 was invested in the child’s medical operation.

16. STRENGTHENING LEADERSHIP

Our leadership continues to invest in learning and professional development. The Director participated in training on Care Reform and Transitioning, facilitated by Legatum.

This is helping strengthen our approach to child care, family reintegration, transition, and the broader journey towards family-based care.
